Safeway and Events DC Partner to Provide Meal, Hope for 5,000 DC Residents on Wednesday, November 23 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center

SAFEWAY AND EVENTS DC PARTNER TO PROVIDE MEAL, HOPE FOR 5,000 DC RESIDENTS ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23 AT THE WALTER E. WASHINGTON CONVENTION CENTER
Safeway Inc. and Events DC will celebrate the season of giving at the 17th Annual Safeway Feast of Sharing (#SafewayFeast).
Feast attendees will enjoy a free
festive Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings served by hundreds of volunteers. Serving residents from all eight of the city’s wards, this beloved annual event will also feature a community services expo to include free flu shots and diabetes testing and a clothing giveaway. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m. with a traditional turkey dinner being served from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
More than 5,000 city residents are expected to attend Safeway Feast of Sharing, which brings together a host of community partners and volunteers, including Sun Trust Bank, The Salvation Army, Unity Health Care, Inc., Centerplate/NBSE, the Washington Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Projection, Metropolitan Baptist Church, the YMCA and Digital Conventions.
