Rising Star Promotions in Association with Events DC, DHH Promotions, TCMFB Boxing and Millions.Co are bringing professional boxing back to the district on Friday, Oct. 29, with Beltway Battles: The First Round, the first in a series of events to be held in Washington, D.C., at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. Beltway Battles, The First Round! In the main event, Cobia Soldier Breedy of Barbados faces Sulaiman Segawa of Uganda in a 10-round bout for the WBC Continental Americas Featherweight Championship. IBF no. 1 ranked light heavyweight and 2012 Chinese Olympian Fanlong Meng will meet Israel Duffus of Panama in a scheduled 10-round round bout. Plus a host of Washington, D.C., region fighters and fan favorites including legendary former WBO World Champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley, Sam The Vanilla Gorilla Crossed, Cornell The Hitman" Hines, Donnell Blood Stripe Poe, Jalil Major Hackett and heavyweight knockout artist Chris Arnold with more bouts being added.
