Did you know that Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, the historic DC sports venue, was one of the first multi-purpose stadiums built in the USA? Affectionately known as “RFK” around the globe, the stadium served as home turf for professional, collegiate, and high school games during its storied history.

RFK was the first major stadium designed specifically as a multi-sport facility for both football and baseball and Major League Soccer’s D.C. United called RFK Stadium home for 21 years. Music fans have also been thrilled by performances under the stars at RFK by iconic artists such as Michael Jackson, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, U2, the Eagles, and the Grateful Dead.
