The Rocky Horror Picture Show 45th Anniversary Spectacular
Do the Time Warp again with Events DC and fellow fans! The special limited-engagement tour is hosted by the original ‘Brad Majors’ Barry Bostwick (“Oh Brad!”) on Halloween this year. The screening of the original unedited movie will include a live shadow cast and, of course, full audience participation. VIP attendees will have the chance to take photos with Barry Bostwick and have personal items autographed. Costumes are encouraged for the extra special contest during the event.

Truth & Service Classic Recap
The historic rivalry between Howard University and Hampton University made it's way to the field on September 18th at Audi Field. The inaugural Truth & Service Classic was the first college football game to take place at the stadium with the HBCU rivals playing to determine "The Real HU!"
Events DC hosted a Pregame Party, where alumni and their family enjoyed live performances from Da Unit Band and WKYS'S DJ 5'9! Food, games and prizes with Truth & Service Classic swag were available for all to take home. Vice President Kamala Harris, Howard Alumna, opened the game by winning the coin toss for her alma mater. WHUR's Frank Ski hosted the Battle of the Bands halftime show, where Hampton University's marching band ‘The Force’ opened with their dance team Ebony Fire followed by Howard University's ‘Showtime’ marching band.
The Hampton Pirates took home the W with a 48-32 victory over the Howard Bisons.

Beltway Battles: Round One
Rising Star Promotions in Association with Events DC, DHH Promotions, TCMFB Boxing and Millions.Co are bringing professional boxing back to the District on Friday, Oct. 29 at the Entertainment & Sports Arena.
Beltway Battles: The First Round is the first in a series of events to be held in the District at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. In the main event, Cobia “Soldier” Breedy (15-1, 5KOs) faces Sulaiman Segawa (13-3-1, 4KOs) in a 10-round featherweight bout with the WBC Continental Americas featherweight title on the line.
Doors open at 6:00PM and first bell is at 7:00PM. *Card subject to change

Community Grant Awardee Spotlight: Dance Place
Since 1980, Dance Place has drawn the community together through high-quality performances, commissions, training, and educational programs. As an Events DC Community Grant awardee (FY2020, Cycle 2), they were awarded for being an anchor in their community, committing to providing a wide variety of affordable and free programs. Drop in to attend one of their events this fall.
Situated between Edgewood and Brookland, in Ward 5, they offer a myriad of classes to children and adults, such as the Coyaba Academy that offers African Dancing, ballet, tap, and many more. To learn more about Dance Place, visit their website here.

4th Annual Fall Festival at The Farm @ Kelly Miller
Join Dreaming Out Loud along with partners at City Blossoms, Loop Closing and friends at The Farm at Kelly Miller (301 49th St. NE) for their 4th Annual Fall Festival! The event takes place Friday, Oct. 8, from 3-6PM.
The free, family-friendly festival will feature delicious and nutritious farm-to-table food, fresh apple cider, pony rides, art activities, garden activities and demos, games and more!

Join Events DC at Costume Carnival at the Gateway Pavilion
We encourage families with children of all ages to dress as their favorite characters for a chance to win the costume contest. Local community partners will also decorate their booths and hand out candy for trick-or-treaters.
WHAT: A family-friendly outdoor Halloween celebration open to the public with music and festive activities! This event is free, but registration is required.
WHEN: Thursday, October 28 from 6-8PM
