DC Armory Policies & Guidelines
To ensure that your DC Armory event is flawlessly executed and unforgettable for your guests, please note the following venue policies and guidelines.
Capacity
The DC Armory features a 65,000 square foot drill floor uninterrupted by columns. The drill floor is maple wood and accessible by the main entrance and loading dock. This versatile event space also features a Box Office, Executive Lounge, Show Office, Dressing Rooms and two locker rooms. The facility is handicap accessible and Metro and Bus accessible.

Venue Restrictions
Food and Beverage Sampling
All exhibitors wishing to offer food and beverage samples must submit a completed Food & Beverage Sampling request form to Events DC for review and approval.
Concessions/Catering
Only the DC Armory’s approved concessionaire, Unique Food and Beverage, is permitted to sell food and/or beverages and provide catering inside the DC Armory. Catering by external vendors is prohibited.
Indoor Signage
Indoor signage is permitted during an event provided it is not offensive or in poor taste. Materials may be hung or displayed within the Armory but cannot be adhered using adhesives or any substance that will mar or damage the interior of the Armory. Signage may not block or obscure the visibility of any permanent signs or block access to public spaces.
Outdoor Signage
Outdoor signage is permitted provided the content is not offensive or in poor taste. All outdoor signage must be free-standing or attached to trusses/structures constructed by the promoter. Materials cannot be attached to, hung from, leaned against or adhered to the exterior of the Armory.
Party Favors/Promotional Materials
Use and distribution of confetti, streamers, stickers or helium-filled balloons is prohibited within the Armory.
Open Flames
Open flames are strictly prohibited throughout the entire DC Armory.
Vehicle/Trailer Regulations
- No vehicle/trailer may exceed 400 pounds per square foot.
- All vehicles/trailers that are parked inside the Armory must have less than 1/4 tank of gas.
- All vehicles/trailers must provide Visqueen (or similar waterproof material) and be placed beneath the vehicle to protect the Armory floor.
Internet & Wireless
The DC Armory does not come equipped with wireless/internet and phone service for events, all requests must be noted by the venue licensee and then directed to Verizon at 800-297-2355. Once an order number is provided, please forward all to Event DC Event Manager and a Verizon representative will install up to two (2) business days from schedule licensee load-in.
