Pro-Wrestling Smackdown Returns to the District
Enjoy two nights of televised professional wresting action at the Entertainment & Sports Arena onOctober 5 for #AEWDynamite & October 7 for #AEWRampage + #AEWBattleOfTheBelts IV.
AEW: Dynamite airs every Wednesday from 8-10 p.m. ET on TBS and attracts the youngest wrestling audience on television. The fight-forward show AEW: Rampage airs every Friday from 10-11 p.m. ET on TNT.
RFK Demolition Update
The demolition process continues at Robert F. Kennedy Stadium, with the ongoing abatement of potentially hazardous materials expected to last several months. Demolition of larger structural components will begin following the abatement process. We currently estimate that major structural components of the stadium will be removed by the end of 2023.
We are excited to honor and celebrate the stadium’s unmatched legacy as the demolition plan progresses. We also understand RFK Stadium has a rich history and includes items that remain of interest to many residents and fans. We plan to share more information regarding RFK Stadium’s legacy campaign and plan for sale and distribution of RFK Stadium items in the coming weeks.
Truth and Service Classic Returns to Audi Field
The 2nd Annual Truth and Service Classic Football Returns to Audi Field on October 15! The Howard Bison will take on the Harvard Crimson for a football showdown you will not want to miss. "Washington, D.C. will showcase its tradition as a premier destination for sports and entertainment at Audi Field with the match-up between two prestigious academic and sports institutions, Howard versus Harvard," said Ralph Morton, Events DC's senior vice president and managing director of the Sports and Entertainment Division. "We welcome the alumni, fans and student athletes to our city, and know they will enjoy all it has to offer."
