Events DC, the official convention and sports authority of Washington, DC encouraged DC-based nonprofit organizations to apply for the first round of the fiscal year 2025 Events DC Community Grant Program. The program will provide $750,000 in grants over two cycles to organizations supporting District youth through sports, performing arts or cultural arts. After a rise in applications for the grant program last year, Events DC increased the funding amount for fiscal 2025 to $750,000 to ensure more organizations can participate.
As an active and engaged member of the community, Events DC is dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations in all eight wards of Washington, DC that promote youth participation in both the arts and athletics. In fiscal year 2024, a record total of 103 organizations across the District received $625,000 in community grants.
Events DC accepts applications twice each fiscal year for two grant cycles. Grant amounts range from $2,500 to $25,000. The application deadline for fiscal 2025’s first grant cycle is August 1, 2024. Since 2018, Events DC has grown the award amount from $50,000 per cycle to $250,000 per cycle in the first half of fiscal 2024. This fiscal year, Events DC will offer $375,000 per cycle.
