Creating Reasons to Gather
Whether in our venues or around the nation’s capital, Events DC is the leading authority on sports and entertainment in the District. Through our Creative Services Division, Events DC is actively involved in the production and support of some of the city’s most anticipated events, attracting thousands of attendees to locations around the city, as well virtually on our new content website GATHER by Events DC. As varied and diverse as the city itself, these events bring economic impact to our nation’s capital while offering a wealth of can’t-miss dates on the social calendar for District residents and visitors alike.
Recently launched GATHER by Events DC is a virtual venue capable of producing and streaming live events as well as hosting experiences through on-demand content designed to engage and excite audiences through impactful programming featuring DC’s creative economy of local artists, musicians, businesses, and industry partners.
An additional aspect of our unique GATHER by Events DC platform is Studio 801 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Studio 801 is a state-of-the-art multiplatform production studio, offering the opportunity to position organizations as not just a meetings thought leader, but a national leader in innovatively bringing people together. This 19,000 square-foot state-of-the-art production studio is housed within the Convention Center and will provide a turnkey experience for our customers looking to host and create virtual and hybrid experiences for their attendees. The studio is fully equipped with rigging, AV and lighting capabilities, as well as dynamic LED screens. One of the first events hosted at Studio 801 was Mayor Bowser’s 3rd Annual Maternal and Infant Health Summit on September 16 and on September 20, as well as the first-ever virtual RAMMY Awards Gala, which was broadcasted live for audiences to enjoy from their homes.
