Winter Wonderland 

Saturday, December 21

Established in 1998, Winter Wonderland is an annual fun-filled children’s holiday event featuring interactive arts and crafts, festive seasonal treats, costumed characters, a gift for each child and spreads the joy of the season to attendees of all ages.

DC Neighborhood Heritage Trails

Year Round

Washington DC's Neighborhood Heritage Trails are the official walking trails of Washington, DC. These self-guided walking tours provide a glimpse into the rich diversity of DC's neighborhoods, past and present.

Community Grants

FY 2025

Events DC is dedicated to supporting the local non-profit community. Every year, we offer two cycles of community grants to support non-profit organizations in Washington, DC that promote youth participation in both the arts and athletics.

Day of Play

April 2025

Every year, during the Spring Break, Events DC hosts Day of Play at RFK, a day to enjoy with friends, family and neighbors. This free, field-based event to gather adults and youth in DC for a day of fun, friendly competition. It will feature music, food trucks and activities for all ages.

Summer Movie Series

Summer 2025

Events DC’s Summer Movie Series is an annual outdoor screening of recent movies, hosted on RFK Campus Oklahoma Lawn, ESA Campus Gateway DC Pavilion and the Carnegie Library Lawn. This event is a hit each summer as it’s free and open to the community!  Along with the movie, attendees enjoy playing interactive games, inflatables, face painting, music and more.

Camp Zen 2024


Camp Zen

August 2025

Events DC Camp Zen is a free outdoor community event for all ages centered around holistic healing and development in Ward 8. It takes place at the Gateway Pavilion which features a variety of fun outdoor camp activations including a petting zoo, yoga, pony rides, arts & crafts and many more!

Art All Night

September 2025

Every year, Art All Night celebrates the performing and visual arts of Washington, DC. Embark on a vibrant cultural journey at the Events DC’s Art All Night festivities on the Carnegie Library East and West Lawns.

Costume Carnival

Join Events DC at Costume Carnival at the Gateway Pavilion on the campus of St. Elizabeths. This is a family-friendly outdoor Halloween celebration, and it’s open to the public with music and festive activities. We encourage families with children of all ages to dress as their favorite characters for a chance to win the costume contest. 



 

Legends Game Nights

2025

Game on, Golden Years! District residents aged 60 and older are invited to a fun-filled event with prizes, including dancing, classic board and card games, digital and arcade games, crafts, food and more.

Safeway Feast of Sharing 

November 2025

For more than two decades, our partnership with Safeway, Inc. on the annual Feast of Sharing at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center celebrates the spirit of giving on Thanksgiving Eve by serving hot holiday meals, donating new winter coats and accessories (while supplies last), offering free health screenings and providing access to city services.
