The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter (NCCB) of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences nominated three Events DC programs for the 64th Capital Emmys. The honors mark the first Emmy nominations for programs created for and hosted on GATHER, Events DC’s newest hub for dynamic live and on-demand event programming from the worlds of sports, entertainment, culture, hospitality and more. The nominations and categories include:

With the formation of the Premier Lacrosse League, players and teams are embracing the past while working to create a more inclusive environment. Sticks and Stones: The Creator's Game takes us deep inside the game as top players reflect on its dynamic history. Produced by Events DC Creative Services Division and Warner Hanson Television in partnership with the Premier Lacrosse League and Smithsonian Institution/National Museum of the American Indian.

The piece explores the intersection of diplomacy and the way we dress, celebrating the first-ever Diplomacy & Fashion award, recognizing the Honorable Madeleine Albright. Embassy Chef Challenge

Inspired by Events DC’s annual embassy chef competition, Embassy Chef Challenge is a short documentary series that explores the power of food to connect cultures. In this installment, Roya Rahmani shares how food provided her a sense of home throughout her life, from fleeing violence in her country as a child to becoming the first female ambassador of Afghanistan. Produced by Events DC’s Creative Services Division and Aster Creative Co with support from Pepsi and Jan Du Plain.
