Events DC Statement Regarding Recent Cyberattack

Washington, DC (October 28, 2022)—Events DC issued the following statement about a recent cyberattack:

“Events DC was recently the victim of a cyberattack on parts of our network. When we detected the attack, we moved quickly to curtail the attack. We also engaged a leading data forensics expert to help us investigate further and notified law enforcement.

Events DC takes the protection of the information entrusted to us very seriously, and our top priority throughout this situation has been to respond quickly and thoroughly to enable our workforce to continue doing their important job of serving our customers and stakeholders. Preliminary findings from our forensic investigation suggest that some sensitive information of our employees may have been compromised. We have communicated with our employees, and we are offering credit protection services to all current employees at no cost out of abundance of caution. We will begin notifying affected employees shortly.

Our investigation is ongoing, and we greatly appreciate our stakeholders’ patience and cooperation.
