Events DC’s popular Summer Movie Series is back and now showing a film in all four quadrants.
Each summer, Events DC provides a movie night that is completely free and fun for the whole family. Each location also features movie snacks and light fare, fun activities and a DJ. It is encouraged to bring your own lawn blanket or chair.
Events DC is reaching even more movie-loving District residents with locations at the DC Armory Mall, Carnegie Library Mall, Gateway DC and new this year, The Wharf.
Each event begins at 6 p.m. with the movie showing at 8 p.m. Registration is required and available here.
August 6 - “Elemental” at The Wharf’s Transit Pier
August 14 - “Wish” on the Carnegie Library Lawn at Mount Vernon Square
August 15 - “Barbie” on the DC Armory Lawn on the RFK Campus
The September 6 showing of 2023’s “The Little Mermaid” at Gateway DC on the St. Elizabeths Campus is part of a larger community event, Camp Zen. Camp Zen, which begins at 5 p.m., is focused on holistic healing and will feature camp-like activities including a petting zoo, yoga, pony rides, arts & crafts, and more.
