National Symphony Orchestra at Park Up DC
In celebration of Labor Day, more than 30 musicians of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) will perform a safe, physically distant concert on the Kennedy Center Concert Hall stage to be livestreamed at Event’s DC’s Park Up DC, a pop-up drive-in movie and entertainment experience at the RFK Campus. The performance, which is in place of the NSO’s annual Labor Day Capital Concerts performance, is FREE to attend and is open up to 350 cars. Each car will need to be registered via the Park Up DC site in order to attend. This event also marks the first concert simulcast at Park Up DC.
The full program, featuring all American composers, is located below. The performance will also be recorded and broadcast on Labor Day (September 7) via the Kennedy Center’s Social Media channels at 12 noon.

About the National Symphony Orchestra
The 2019–2020 season marks the National Symphony Orchestra’s 89th, and Gianandrea Noseda’s third as its music director. The Italian conductor serves as the Orchestra’s seventh music director, joining the NSO’s legacy of distinguished leaders. Its artistic leadership also includes Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke and Artistic Advisor Ben Folds. Founded in 1931, the Orchestra has always been committed to artistic excellence and music education. In 1986, the National Symphony became an artistic affiliate of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where it performs year-round. The NSO’s community engagement projects are nationally recognized, including NSO In Your Neighborhood, an annual week of approximately 50 performances in schools, churches, community centers, and other unexpected venues; Notes of Honor, which offers free performances for active, veteran, prior service, and retired members of the military and their families; and Sound Health, a collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and its affiliated organizations.
