On behalf of the Events DC team and our Board of Directors, we have determined it to be in the best interest of all our residents and all of you to postpone upcoming events at our venues and suspend operations and services until April 27, 2020. We thank Mayor Muriel Bowser for her steadfast leadership during these unprecedented times to help keep our community healthy and safe.
Please take note of the following venues that will be closed for use: Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Entertainment and Sports Arena, RFK Stadium, DC Armory, The Fields at RFK Campus, Skate Park at RFK Campus, Festival Grounds at RFK Campus, Gateway DC and R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center.
As a business deeply impacted by recent events, we understand the fear and uncertainty these times may bring. We are prepared to overcome these obstacles and out of an abundance of caution for our clients, staff, and residents, we have made this decision to suspend operations.
Throughout the suspension of operations, Events DC will continue its cleaning efforts, and expand upon them by conducting a thorough cleaning of its indoor venues (including the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Entertainment and Sports Arena, DC Armory, and the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center) and its office locations. Events DC will resume full operations on April 27th.
Events DC is in constant communication and collaboration with the Mayor, Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and DC Department of Health for guidance and additional information. We will continue to update you as we learn more. For minute by minute updates, please make sure to check our various social accounts: Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
