On behalf of the Events DC Board of Directors, it is bittersweet that Greg is moving on from his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Events DC. Over the last 15 years, Greg has been a strong leader for our organization and a leading voice for our city’s convention, sports and tourism efforts. His solid leadership and innovation are greatly responsible for Event DC’s placement on the worldwide stage in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Greg worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic on relief efforts for hotels, restaurants, undocumented workers and revived Washington, DC’s convention business while keeping each Events DC team member employed. Although his outstanding leadership will be missed, he has positioned the organization to succeed and thrive as we navigate through the recovery. On a personal note, I have really enjoyed collaborating and working with Greg and will miss that engagement and partnership as we delivered value for DC residents and visitors alike.
We appreciate and thank him for his vision and selfless dedication to Events DC, our staff, and the city. We wish him all the best.
