The Events DC Kickoff Classic Triple-Header to Feature Six High Schools from the Nation’s Capital
WASHINGTON, DC (August 14, 2018) – Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Colombia, announced today the Events DC Kickoff Classic, a high school football triple-header featuring Dunbar High School, The Maret School, Woodrow Wilson High School, Archbishop Carroll High School, Friendship Collegiate Academy and H.D. Woodson High School on Saturday, September 15 at RFK Stadium.
The Events DC Kickoff Classic highlights the abundance of diverse amateur athletic talent throughout the DC-metro area while celebrating the long tradition of football at the historic RFK Stadium. This newly formed Classic will also feature halftime performances by high school marching bands and a Pepsi Fan Zone filled with sponsor brand activations, youth football activities, family-friendly entertainment by local musicians and DJs

The Classic also marks the launch of Events DC’s new Amateur Sports Initiative, a multi-year initiative designed to recognize amateur sports, from football and basketball to pole vaulting and high-speed racing, around the greater Washington area.

Tickets for the Events DC Kickoff Classic are on-sale Tuesday, August 14 at Ticketmaster.com, in advance at participating high schools and at the box office at RFK Stadium on game day.
