Plans to Reactivate the Exterior Streetscape in Shaw Demonstrate Events DC’s Commitment to Local Businesses and Provide a Unique Experience for Residents and Visitors
Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia hosted a community meeting on April 11 to provide general Walter E. Washington Convention Center and Carnegie Library updates, as well as new information surrounding the Convention Center exterior streetscape plans. This meeting was an open discussion to share the plan progress and obtain feedback from the community and stakeholders.
The exterior streetscape plans will act as a complement to the Convention Center, alongside Events DC’s recent expansion of mixed retail tenants and will reinforce the thriving development and revitalized Shaw neighborhood as a convention and entertainment district located in the heart of DC for residents and visitors alike to benefit.
