Notice of Public Meetings

2026 PUBLIC MEETING SCHEDULE

The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority (t/a Events DC), in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Official Code §1-207.42 (2006 Repl., 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Amendment Act of 2010, D.C. Official Code §2-576(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice that it has scheduled the following meetings for 2026: January 15, March 12, April 9, June 11, July 16, September 10, October 8, and December 10.  Meetings will take place in the Jarvis Boardroom at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y Lew Place, NW, Washington DC 20001, beginning at 9 a.m.  The Board’s agenda includes reports from Events DC’s President and CEO and the Board’s Standing Committees.  For additional information, please contact Dania Jolley at djolley@eventsdc.com

NOTICE OF MEETING LOCATION CHANGE

The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority t/a Events DC, in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Code § 1-207.42 (2006 Repl, 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Act of 2010, D.C. Code § 2-575(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice that its regular meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2026 will convene at 9:00 AM.  The beginning portion of the meeting will be closed for the following purposes: (i) to discuss contract negotiations as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(2), which talks may also involve discussion of commercial or financial information obtained from outside the public body as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(11); (ii) for consultation with counsel as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(4)(A); and (iii) to discuss personnel matters as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(10). The public portion of the meeting, which will be held at the Department of Employment Services (DOES), 4058 Minnesota Ave, NE, Washington, DC  20019, is expected to resume at approximately 10:00 AM.
