Events DC Board Meetings

The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority (t/a Events DC), in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Official Code §1-207.42 (2006 Repl., 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Amendment Act of 2010, D.C. Official Code §2-576(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice that it has scheduled the following meetings for 2025: January 16, March 13, April 10, June 12, July 17, September 11, October 9, December 11.

All meetings are open for the public to attend in-person, only in the Jarvis Boardroom, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Board’s agenda includes reports from its Standing Committees.  For additional information, please contact Dania M. Notice of a Special Board Meeting on May 8, 2025

The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority t/a Events DC, in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Code § 1-207.42 (2006 Repl., 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Amendment Act of 2010, D.C. Code § 2-576(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice of that the Authority’s Board of Directors will convene a Special Meeting on May 8, 2025 at 2:00pm to discuss the Authority’s Fiscal Year 2026 proposed budget and five year financial plan.  The meeting will take place virtually.  A link for the meeting will be available at https://eventsdc.com/board-meeting-livestream. The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority t/a Events DC, in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Code § 1-207.42 (2006 Repl., 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Amendment Act of 2010, D.C. Code § 2-576(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice that the Authority’s Board of Directors will convene a Special Meeting on July 7, 2025 at 5:00pm to discuss a pending contract matter.  The meeting will take place virtually.  A link for the meeting will be available at https://eventsdc.com/board-meeting-livestream. Notice of Meeting Time Change/Closed Meeting on July 17 2025

The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority t/a Events DC, in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Code § 1-207.42 (2006 Repl, 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Act of 2010, D.C. Code § 2-575(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice that its meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2025 will convene at 8:45 AM and will be a Board retreat in lieu of a regular public meeting.  The meeting will be closed for the following purposes: (i) to discuss contract negotiations as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(2); (ii) to discuss business development opportunities and related incentives as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(3); (iii) for consultation with counsel as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(4)(A); (iv) to discuss personnel matters as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(10); (v) to discuss commercial or financial information obtained from outside the public body as provided by D.C. Notice of Meeting Time Change/Closed Meeting on September 11, 2025

The Board of Directors of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority t/a Events DC, in accordance with the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act of 1973, D.C. Code § 1-207.42 (2006 Repl, 2011 Supp.), and the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act of 1968, as amended by the Open Meetings Act of 2010, D.C. Code § 2-575(5) (2011 Repl., 2011 Supp.), hereby gives notice that its regular meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2025 will convene at 9:00 AM.  The beginning portion of the meeting will be closed for the following purposes: (i) to discuss contract negotiations as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(2), which talks may also involve discussion of commercial or financial information obtained from outside the public body as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(11); (ii) for consultation with counsel as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(4)(A); and (iii) to discuss personnel matters as provided by D.C. Code § 2-575(b)(10).  The public portion of the meeting, which will be held in the Jarvis Boardroom at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y.
