The fan fest will precede the epic event that will close out Cena’s 20-year career
Today, Events DC, the official convention and sports authority of Washington, DC, announced a free Fan Fest event that will take place on F street NW, between 6th and 7th streets, on December 13th, prior to John Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event live from Capital One Arena.
“Events DC is thrilled to host John Cena’s Last Match Official Fan Fest that unites our community in celebrating an emblematic figure in sports and entertainment,” said Angie M. Gates, President and CEO of Events DC. “The Official Fan Fest will offer fans an unforgettable experience leading up to a historic evening honoring John Cena’s remarkable legacy. We eagerly anticipate welcoming residents and visitors for a day filled with excitement, gratitude and vibrant energy in the Sports Capital.”
The John Cena Final Match Fan Fest will run from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will include a full slate of interactive fan experiences, including:
- Food trucks featuring local Washington, DC favorites
- WWE/Fanatics Official Merchandise Trailer
- Sign making station for fans to create custom farewell messages
- Photo & video booths for fans to record personal goodbyes to John Cena
- Live music & entertainment with Britt Waters and DJ Heat hosting from the stage
The Saturday Night’s Main Event Countdown Show will begin at 6:00 p.m. live from F Street, using the Fan Fest as its broadcast backdrop. Doors to Capital One Arena also open at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday Night’s Main Event, highlighted by Cena’s final match, will air live at 8:00 p.m. ET on Peacock.
