Smoot Construction Company of Washington, DC has completed the abatement of identified asbestos containing materials within RFK Stadium. Non-structural demolition of plumbing fixtures, equipment and upper-level seats, among other stadium components, will continue throughout the month. Smoot has also been coordinating with local utility companies and District agencies to disconnect water, sanitary sewer and electrical infrastructure servicing RFK Stadium.
