St. Elizabeths Campus And Entertainment & Sports Arena Community Advisory

Entertainment & Sports Arena

Entertainment & Sports Arena

Hello, St. Elizabeths East Community:

As Events DC hosts activities at St. Elizabeths East, we are mindful of the impact on our neighborhood and surrounding communities. With this in mind, we want to provide you with the following information about an upcoming event that will take place at the Entertainment & Sports Arena this month.

Capital City Go-Go vs Westchester Knicks (School Day Game) On Wednesday, February 15, Capital City Go-Go will host a School Day event during their game versus the Westchester Knicks. For this event, several buses will drop off children at the Entertainment & Sports Arena.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the game will start at 11 a.m. At the conclusion of the event, buses will start pick up around 1:15 p.m. There will be restricted access to parking on Oak Drive adjacent to the Entertainment & Sports Arena from Cherry Street to Poplar Street. It is possible towing will be enforced.

During these events you may expect greater than usual pedestrian and vehicular traffic congestion, high demand for rideshare and taxis around or near the campus and increased use of the Congress Heights Metro Station.

Events DC has contacted the appropriate District agencies for additional traffic monitoring and enforcement in the area surrounding the St. Elizabeths Campus. The traffic control agents help the flow of traffic during events with high attendance.
